“Better Together” Wine Dinner Feb. 11
Posted on January 21st, 2016
Join us and Guest Chef Matt Reed for our next wine dinner Thursday, Feb. 11, at 6 p.m., featuring the wines of Rombauer, a family-owned vineyard with thirty years of experience in Napa Valley and generations of food and winemaking experience from their native Rheingau, Germany.
And what better for the week of Valentine’s Day than a menu focused on famous pairings? Pork chops and apple sauce, peanut butter and jelly, steak and lobster – they may sound familiar, but wait til you taste Chef Reed’s gourmet version paired with Rombauer’s California Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cab and more. We’d like to say Reed’s six-course meal will not leave you wanting, but we can’t make any promises.
The famous pairing for dessert? Think Cafe du Monde kicked up a notch.
Reed, who owns Reed’s Cakes and Catering, is a two-time Best-in-Show winner of Fete Rouge who also leads monthly cooking classes titled at Acadian House Kitchen and Bath.
Seating is limited, and tickets are $75 per person. To get yours, click here, or call guest services at 225.615.7800.
