The first home game is finally here, and we have everything you need for a fabulous tailgate! From Tiger-themed dishtowels and paper products to Tiger tales and tailgating recipes, we’ve got you covered. We even have to-GEAUX tailgating flasks and purple and gold tortilla chips for spirited snacking!
Our full-service catering menu includes many tailgating food favorites, such as sandwich trays, fruit trays, veggie trays, chicken tender platters, boiled shrimp cocktail and crawfish pasta salad. This week we’re running specials on hot wings, spinach dip, our homemade hummus and edamame hummus. We also have cupcakes in team colors and assorted crowd-pleasing desserts.
We also have John Ed Bradley’s new book It Never Rains in Tiger Stadium, a book Sports Illustrated calls a gripping tale of Bradley’s time on the LSU football team and the mistake he made in leaving it all behind. In the book Bradley, a Louisiana native and the author of several acclaimed works of fiction, poignantly discusses his regret at cutting ties with his coaches and teammates for more than two decades.
Game days at Alexander’s are kind of a remote tailgate party in and of itself. We’ll have a fresh pot of jambalaya as well as other prepared foods – can you say boudin?
Stop by and get in the spirit.
