Dana Delatte, founder of Sharp Cook, will host and demonstrate “Tailgating with Tamales” on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 10 am in our cafe. Dana will offer step-by-step instructions for making cajun tamales, a crowd pleaser for any function but easily portable for tailgating at football games, as well as for fresh chunky salsa, which can be served as a dipping sauce for the tamales or as a stand-alone dip with chips or pita bread. The menu will also include chocolate dessert tamales. Cost of the class is $38 per person and includes the demonstration, a full menu tasting, and complete recipes. Register by calling 225-247-2632 or signing up online by visiting www.SharpCook.com.
Delatte has been offering gourmet group cooking classes for more than a decade in the Capital City and has demonstrated her culinary skills on various local television shows, including the Around Town weekend segment and various WAFB news segments.
