Our generous customers donated a record $750 in groceries to those in need in the first day of Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank’s Spread the Joy campaign to combat hunger during the holidays. The food bank has teamed with Associated Grocers and Coca-Cola to create $10 food packages that customers may purchase at checkout; the packages are then be distributed to local families in need.
Alexander’s big-hearted neighbors purchased 75 bags in the first day of the campaign that runs until Dec. 23. Thanks neighbors!
