Alexander’s is proud to participate in the first annual Freedom Day USA on Thursday, Sept. 12, one day after the nation mourns the losses of 9/11. Freedom Day USA was conceived as a way for businesses and communities to honor and remember fallen military members by saying thank you to active and retired military.
The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank sends many thanks to our Alexander’s community for the generous response to both Trevor’s City Wide Food Drive and the summer campaign, “Check out hunger.” Alexander’s gave the most in donations during the latter, which raised important summer funds for the local charity. In addition, you filled an orange barrel for the 10-year-old boy with terminal cancer whose wish was to feed the hungry.
Dana Delatte, founder of Sharp Cook, will host and demonstrate “Tailgating with Tamales” on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 10 am in our cafe.
